An endangered reef, three friends on a mission ... The clumsy and energetic reef fish Shorty, his clever sister Indigo and Jake, a daring sawfish, live in a colourful coral reef. When a giant fishing trawler devastates their reef, the three friends have no choice but to embark on a dangerous journey to find a new home. The trio's adventurous quest takes them from sea depths to polluted oceans and to distant moons in our solar system. They encounter exotic creatures, get caught in dangerous plastic bags and face their worst fears. Will they be able to find the "Enchanted Reef", that mythical, almost heavenly beautiful underwater landscape without people?

As a humorous and imaginative story for the whole family, this production combines entertainment with educational elements to send a clear message about the vital importance of the oceans to our planet and to ourselves. The show is based on the film "Shorty and the Mystery of the Enchanted Reef" by Peter Popp. The work was awarded the title "Particularly valuable" by the German Film and Media Evaluation (FBW).

Director Popp, who created the 360-degree film "Kaluoka'hina - The Enchanted Reef" a few years ago, has succeeded in creating a second imaginative and colourful excursion into the world of seas and reefs with "The Legend of the Enchanted Reef". The fact that Shorty is adventurous also invites the very young viewers to accompany him and his friends on their journey through the underwater world.
